Having used both extensively I found its far superior to the older version. ---- This clock has the best low light resolution of any spy camera I have EVER used or tested. In total pitch black darkness it lights up the ENTIRE room, even if its a BIG room. My tests indicate a clear 20 to 30 foot range in total darkness. The other major change is the ability to start recording manually and record until the memory card is full (in 3 minute increments) without missing anything.
