This kit is designed to change the color scheme of your standard Xbox 360 controller. The hydro-dipping process transfers a patterned film onto a shell, which is then covered in clear coat. In most cases, a shell must be painted first, to achieve a base undercoat of color. With MadModz shells, however, this step is skipped because the shell color is already embedded in the durable ABS plastic. This allows the pattern to adhere directly to the surface of the shell, instead of a slicker, less stable coat of paint.
